What is the purpose of Camp Belong?

Camp Belong is an ASL immersion camp designed to help students develop leadership skills through experiences with nature, expressive art, music, and dance. Instruction will be in ASL and written English.

Program Director:  Gina A. Oliva, Ph.D.

Who is Camp Belong for?

This camp is for Deaf and hard of hearing students grades 6-8 attending public schools who wish to learn more American Sign Language and develop their leadership skills. Our intention is to serve students who are in mainstream settings and not already in an ASL-immersive school setting, such as a school for the Deaf.
