About the Event

  • Experience a deeper connection with trees through Forest Bathing!
  • Access the tree canopy safely and be a forest fairy!
  • A unforgettable experience!

This event will happen at 150 acres of wooded oakland with pasture land and mixed conifer forest in Oregon City. You can learn more about them at their website: https://treeclimbingplanet.com/

Tree Climbing Planet offers a variety of tree climbing classes, workshops and adventures focusing on technical tree climbing techniques to explore our planet’s rooftop. Our distinctive courses provide participants with in-depth, hands-on learning skills that deliver the confidence needed to go out and climb wild trees on your own or with a group.

This event is for a special population of Deaf/Hard of hearing/ and hearing people who know, are comfortable with, or learning Sign Language.

General Schedule:

  • Welcome + Land Acknowledgement, Instructions for Tree Climbing
  • Afternoon tree climbing experience
  • Snacks and meals provided
  • Evening Forest Bathing Experience with Summer

Pricing:

Normal pricing for a full day tree climbing course is $300 and a Nature/Forest Therapy group session is $45 so this is a deal! *See bottom for additional funding support.

What you will learn:

You will be introduced to basic tree climbing techniques, equipment, knot tying, rope placement, and basic tree inspection. You will enter the peaceful zone we call “tree time,” allowing you to see the trees – and yourself – through an entirely new perspective.

Camping that night on the property is optional addition (charges apply) and must be through HipCamp. Exact meeting location will be shared in a later email after booking. If you have any questions, please contact Summer.

FYI- During the week, Summer will be available for one-on-one & couples/partnered sessions at a location agreed upon. To learn more about the different kind of sessions, check out the Bookings page on website.
